God's eternal plan—fixed and unchanging from eternity past—works itself out in history through people and organizations chosen to carry the good news of salvation to a world lost in spiritual darkness. This ministry wasn't started out of human ambition or entrepreneurial drive. It was born from a deep conviction: that the gospel of Jesus Christ must be proclaimed, undiluted and uncompromised, to people who are still perishing in their sins. The lost stand under the righteous condemnation of God's holy law, and their fallen nature leaves them powerless to save themselves. They urgently need the one message that is "the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes." That is why this work exists: to proclaim the pure evangelism of free and sovereign grace—clearly, faithfully, and urgently—to those who haven't yet heard, or who have heard but not yet believed.
The heart of this ministry beats with the same pulse that drove the apostles. Paul, writing under the Holy Spirit's inspiration, said that necessity was laid upon him: "Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!" The founders of this ministry feel that same divine compulsion. They have personally experienced the kindness of the Lord, and in earlier years they were called to the pastoral ministry of the Word. Years of shepherding a congregation haven't cooled that desire—it has only deepened their longing to see men and women come to know the truth as it is in Jesus. And qualification for this kind of service never rests mainly on natural eloquence or academic polish. It rests on a sincere desire that God's truth—revealed in Scripture and summarized in the great solas of the Reformation—be known, believed, and obeyed. Those five pillars define this ministry's foundation and standard:
Sola Scriptura — Scripture alone is the only rule for faith and practice.
Solus Christus — Christ alone is the only Mediator and Redeemer.
Sola Fide — Faith alone is the only instrument of justification.
Sola Gratia — Grace alone is the only fountain of every spiritual blessing.
Soli Deo Gloria — God's glory alone is the only purpose of everything done in His name.
Every word this ministry writes or speaks is measured against these standards.
At the same time, we know the people doing this work are just "jars of clay." English isn't the native language of those involved, and mastering its grammar, sentence structure, and elevated style doesn't come easily. Recognizing that weakness, we make honest use of modern language tools—not as masters dictating the message, but as servants polishing the vessel so the treasure inside shines more clearly. The content itself remains fully subject to the authority of Scripture; the tools simply help render it with better grammar and literary quality. In this way the gospel isn't hindered by the messenger's limitations, "for the excellence of the power belongs to God and not to us."
Our Charge to Readers
Everyone who reads these writings receives a serious responsibility, taken straight from the example of the Bereans in Acts 17. Luke commends those believers because they "received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." In that same spirit, we call every reader to test and challenge every doctrine presented here. Accept nothing simply because this ministry says it; reject nothing simply because it challenges human tradition. Bring every claim to the touchstone of God's Word. Evaluate it by the overall teaching of Scripture, by the confessional standards of Reformed orthodoxy, and above all by the plain meaning of the biblical text itself. If you find anything here that falls short—if even the smallest point departs from Scripture—reject it, and offer correction with gentleness and truth. This ministry welcomes that kind of accountability. We claim no infallibility for our writers and no exemption from the searching light of God's Word. We stand ready to be corrected, taught, and reformed by the same Word that is "profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."
Writer and Reader Together
Here, then, is the two-sided responsibility that binds writer and reader under the lordship of Christ. The writers labor to present the gospel in its purity—constrained by a former pastoral calling and by an unquenchable desire that the lost might know the truth that sets people free. The readers labor to examine everything carefully and hold fast to what is good, standing like the Bereans in an age crowded with passing ideas and unstable teaching. Together, both sides confess that Scripture alone is the final court of appeal, and that every ministry—however sincere—must submit to its authority. May the Spirit of truth lead these efforts so that Christ alone is exalted, sinners are truly and effectively called to faith, and the triune God receives the glory that belongs to Him forever.
