Last updated / Revised: 4 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Hanseong Revival Press ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit:
- https://www.hanseongrevival.org/ ("Website")
- https://sionsavedbygrace.blogspot.com/ ("Blog")
(together, "Online Properties")
It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.
In some cases, we may use cookies to collect personal information, or information that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Hanseong Revival Press) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the Website (e.g., interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognise your computer both when it visits the Website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?
We use cookies for the following reasons:
1. Essential (strictly necessary) cookies. Required for technical reasons in order for our Website and Blog to operate — session management, security, load balancing, and spam/fraud prevention. These cannot be switched off.
2. Performance and functionality cookies. These enhance the performance and functionality of our Website but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality (such as embedded videos) may become unavailable.
Important: We do not use cookies for targeted advertising, cross-site behavioural tracking, or email-marketing measurement. We do not operate Google Analytics or serve advertising of our own. Third parties that may serve cookies through our platforms are limited to our hosting and platform providers (Google LLC for Blogger, and our web hosting provider for hanseongrevival.org), whose collection is controlled by their own privacy policies:
- Google (Blogger): https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies
- Google Privacy & Terms: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The specific cookies served may vary depending on the Online Property you visit and the settings of your device and browser.
HOW CAN I CONTROL COOKIES?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences in the Cookie Consent Manager. The Cookie Consent Manager allows you to select which categories of cookies you accept or reject. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services.
The Cookie Consent Manager can be found in the notification banner on our Online Properties. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our Website, though your access to some functionality and areas may be restricted. You may also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies.
For visitors from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, a cookie-consent banner is displayed automatically by our platform providers (including Google for Blogger) in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. Please do not disable this banner; it protects your rights when visiting from Europe.
HOW CAN I CONTROL COOKIES ON MY BROWSER?
As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information. Information about managing cookies is available for the most popular browsers:
- Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop
- Safari: https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-and-website-data-sfri11471
- Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge
- Safari (iOS): Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security
- Opera: https://help.opera.com
In addition, you may opt out of interest-based advertising through industry opt-out mechanisms:
- Digital Advertising Alliance: https://optout.aboutads.info
- Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada: https://youradchoices.ca
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: https://www.youronlinechoices.eu
WHAT ABOUT OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES, LIKE WEB BEACONS?
Cookies are not the only way to recognise or track visitors to a website. Our platform providers may use similar technologies from time to time, such as web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs") — tiny graphics files containing a unique identifier that enable recognition of when someone has visited a page or opened content containing them. These technologies may, for example, monitor traffic patterns from one page to another within a Website, communicate with cookies, improve site performance, and maintain security. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
We do not embed web beacons in our own outgoing emails, and we do not measure email-marketing campaign performance.
DO YOU USE FLASH COOKIES OR LOCAL SHARED OBJECTS?
No. Adobe Flash Player reached end of life on 31 December 2020 and is no longer supported by any modern browser. We do not use Flash cookies (Local Shared Objects / LSOs) on our Online Properties. Our Web storage usage is limited to standard browser localStorage/cookies strictly necessary for site operation and security. You may clear these at any time through your browser's site-data settings.
DO YOU SERVE TARGETED ADVERTISING?
No. We do not serve targeted advertising, and we do not permit third parties to serve advertising cookies through our Online Properties. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not process sensitive personal data. If advertising-serving practices ever change, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out mechanism before such practices commence.
Some advertising networks offer opt-out mechanisms as described in the section above; because we do not display third-party advertising, no opt-out is necessary on our Online Properties.
MALAYSIAN LAW NOTE (PDPA)
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia, as amended by the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024, information collected through cookies that identifies you (or can identify you when combined with other data) constitutes personal data. We process such data in accordance with the seven PDPA principles — General, Notice & Choice, Disclosure, Security, Retention, Data Integrity, and Access — as described in our Privacy Policy. Cookies identifying your device are used only for site security and operation, with notice provided here.
HOW OFTEN WILL YOU UPDATE THIS COOKIE POLICY?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
