Hanseong Revival Press operates:


(together, the "Online Properties"). This Anti-Spam Policy forms part of the terms governing use of the Online Properties.

We are committed to responsible electronic communication and to compliance with the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (Act 588) of Malaysia, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709) of Malaysia, as amended, and the industry standards reflected in the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Content Code administered by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

We maintain a strict policy against spam, unsolicited commercial electronic messages, and any form of abusive or deceptive communication. As a non-commercial ministry, we do not send commercial electronic messages for marketing purposes, we do not sell advertising, and we do not sell or share email addresses with any third party.

1. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You must not use the Online Properties, our contact forms, our email addresses, or any service provided by Hanseong Revival Press to:
  • Send, upload, distribute, or facilitate unsolicited bulk communications, whether commercial or non-commercial;
  • Transmit spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or mass unsolicited messages;
  • Harvest, scrape, or collect email addresses or personal data for the purpose of sending unsolicited communications;
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to send messages or submit forms, in violation of our Terms and Conditions and Community Comment Guidelines;
  • Send messages containing false or misleading header information, deceptive subject lines, or forged sender details;
  • Distribute malware, viruses, trojans, or any malicious code;
  • Engage in phishing, spoofing, or identity misrepresentation;
  • Promote or facilitate illegal activities, including offences under the Computer Crimes Act 1997 (Act 563) of Malaysia.
2. OUR OWN COMMUNICATION PRACTICES

Because we do not conduct commercial marketing, our communications with you are limited to:
  • Transactional or responsive correspondence — replies to inquiries, applications, takedown notices, appeals, or data subject requests you have initiated;
  • Service notices — where strictly necessary, notifications concerning changes to our policies or the operation of the Online Properties.
Where we send you email, we will use accurate sender details and truthful subject lines. Where any communication is sent to you on the basis of your subscription, you may withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time by replying to the message or writing to hanseongrevivalpress @ protonmail. com, and we will act on opt-out requests promptly and without charge.

3. YOUR OBLIGATIONS

By using the Online Properties, you agree to:
  • Submit only accurate and truthful information;
  • Not impersonate any person or entity;
  • Refrain from using the Online Properties to send any communication that would breach this policy;
  • Report any suspected spam or abuse promptly, as described in Section 5;
  • Comply with all applicable laws concerning electronic communications in your own jurisdiction, including consent and unsubscribe requirements equivalent to those described above.
4. MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT

We monitor submissions and communications through the Online Properties for compliance with this policy, to the extent permitted by law and consistent with our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to:
  • Block, filter, or reject any message or submission;
  • Suspend or terminate access to the Online Properties, in accordance with our Community Comment Guidelines;
  • Preserve and disclose data to the MCMC, law enforcement, or judicial authorities where required by law, under applicable statutory powers, or pursuant to a valid court order;
  • Pursue civil remedies or report violations to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) or other competent authorities where offences under the Computer Crimes Act 1997 or other laws are suspected.
Any disclosure of personal data to authorities is made only where required or permitted by law, in accordance with the PDPA and our Data Protection Notice.

5. REPORTING SPAM

If you receive spam purporting to originate from our domain, or believe a user has violated this policy, please report it to hanseongrevivalpress @ protonmail .com with the subject line "Spam Report – [brief description]".

Please include the full email headers and content of the offending message, as headers are essential for tracing origin. We review reports as soon as reasonably practicable, ordinarily within 48 hours of receipt, and will take appropriate action, which may include referral to the relevant authorities.

If the message in question involves the Blog, you may also report it directly to Google, as the hosting platform, in addition to reporting it to us.

6. CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATIONS

Violations of this policy may result in any of the following, at our discretion and as applicable:
  • Blocking of the offending sender or source;
  • Suspension or termination of access to the Online Properties;
  • Removal of content and referral under our Community Comment Guidelines;
  • Report to the MCMC, the Personal Data Protection Department (JPDP), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), or other competent authorities.
We note, for general awareness, that improper use of network facilities or network services under s. 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 is an offence under Malaysian law carrying fines and imprisonment as prescribed by that section, and that offenders may additionally incur civil liability. We do not restate the statutory penalty figures here, as they are subject to amendment from time to time; the current text of Act 588 governs.

7. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Anti-Spam Policy is governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, conveniently seated at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, except where applicable law confers mandatory jurisdiction elsewhere.
